Learn Practical Massage

Our style of deep tissue massage incorporates elements from Eastern styles such as Shiatsu, reflexology and Ayurvedic massage. The courses were designed by internationally trained Naturopath and Australia based massage therapist Brandon Raynor, a well known massage teacher, innovator and therapist.

Our courses are much shorter than the 2 or 3 years needed to get a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) qualification. The practical nature of our courses, however, mean that they are a wise investment that will get you practicing in your new career as soon as possible. Raynor massage teaches you how to understand the root causes of tension and be able to massage therapeutically at a level equal to or greater than graduates of the RMT colleges. Our accelerated classes are also more effective than many RMT courses because we take a hands on approach and have you massaging and receiving a massage from the start of the course. We focus our training on feeling tension in the body and giving the best massages possible rather than dedicating most of your class time to memorizing Latin names of muscles.

Progress Quickly

Our intensive method of training suits mature people who want to quickly learn an effective and popular style of massage. To this end, we offer an intensive 5 day Certificate Course as well as a Diploma Course and our Advanced Practitioners Diploma Course. Students at our courses will be massaging and practicing techniques every day. We also offer our Raynor online massage course to help you learn the foundations of what Raynor massage is all about. Please sign up for our free preview to learn more about this course.

Learn Unique Skills

Our students don’t just learn to massage the common parts of the body, such as the neck, back, arms and legs. We believe that it’s important that you learn the significance of massaging less common areas, such as the abdomen. Japanese medicine considers the abdomen to be the hara, or centre, of a human being. Therefore, abdominal massage can bring positive effects to the clients physical and emotional well being.

Each class begins with a demonstration given by a Raynor massage instructor followed by students practicing the techniques on each other while the instructor provides one-on-one feedback. This way, each student can learn to perfect their own individual technique and style. We don’t want you to rote learn massage routines or moves, we want you to learn how to therapeutically restore clients to health by removing tension at it’s deepest roots.

Get Accredited & Insured

Our courses are accredited with the International Institute for Complementary Therapies, and the International Natural Therapies Association. Graduates of our massage classes are able to obtain fully comprehensive malpractice and professional indemnity insurance after completing the course. Read more from the Canadian section of our dedicated insurance and accreditation page here.

In British Columbia, there are some restrictions around who can use certain terms, such as massage therapist or RMT. You can still practice massage after taking our courses, but we recommend avoiding these terms. You can also set up a massage business or work for a clinic or spa.
