Brandon Raynor’s Massage and Natural Therapies School has been teaching Raynor massage courses in New Zealand for almost 20 years years and internationally for 23 years. Due to popularity, we are now offering intensive massage courses in Whangārei, New Zealand.
We are an international massage school founded in Australia in 1997 by Naturopath Brandon Raynor.
Brandon Raynor has 5 Diplomas in the healing arts (Diploma of Naturopathy, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Diploma of Shiatsu, Diploma of Chinese Herbal Medicine and a Diploma in Ayurvedic Medicine). He has been practising massage therapy for the last thirty years and has been travelling the world for the last 25 years exploring the best approaches to massage therapy and other healing arts. He started teaching what he had learned in 1997 in Sydney Australia and since then Brandon Raynor’s Massage and Natural Therapies College has expanded to teach in many cities in many countries around the world. See here for our full worldwide course calendar.
Brandon’s style of massage is a combination of therapeutic massage, shiatsu, Thai massage, Chinese massage, Ayurvedic massage, joint adjustments and deep tissue massage. He has created many new massage techniques and he has discovered how muscular tension exists in the human body as bands of tension. His manner of teaching is down to earth and straight to the point. Brandon only teaches what he uses and does not just fill a course with unnecessary jargon. Please have a read of some of our past students google reviews of our school in Australia and in New Zealand
Brandon’s style of massage came to be known as Raynor Naturopathic Massage Therapy by 2003 as it is truly a unique style of treatment that is extremely effective at getting to the roots of tension in the body and has greatly beneficial effects upon the mind and spirit too. Here is an example of Raynor Massage as practised by the founder of Raynor Massage Naturopath Brandon Raynor.
Raynor massage is a unique form of deep tissue massage therapy that is designed to completely eliminate residual tension from the client’s body. It is a fusion of Eastern massage styles like Shiatsu, Tui na and Thai massage by working on lines or bands of tension caused by energetic blockages in the person, as well as Swedish massage and reflexology.
Our youtube site has more than 40,000 subscribers from all over the world. You are welcome to browse over 300 videos that we have on our site. You can access the main Raynor massage youtube site here.
Our main course that we will be teaching in Whangārei will be our Professional Raynor Massage Certificate Course, which is a combination of our online course with our 18 hour hands on seminar.
Our next course that we have planned for Whangārei will be held on November 13th and 14th, 2020.
A large parts of our profits go towards our Raynor Naturopathic Gardens and Wildlife Refuge.
Our massage style is a form of deep tissue massage, but, after you have learned this technique, you’ll be able to adjust it completely based on the specific needs of your client to make it either deep or soft tissue.
We don’t teach massage as a set routine. We teach you to make the massage suit the person not the person suit the massage. Instead, we teach you how to identify and release tension. We will train you in not only how to massage the common parts of the body which many therapists are familiar with such as arms, back, and legs, but we will also show you the significance of hand and feet massage, scalp and face massage and most importantly, abdominal massage. In Japanese medicine, the abdomen is considered to be the hara, or centre of a human being. Therefore, abdominal massage can bring positive effects to the clients physical and emotional well being. For many people, abdominal massage can release a lot of old emotional tensions which are being held. This emotional release can deliver great benefits to an individual since old patterns of stagnation- both emotional and physical are released.
Once you have completed our massage course, course in Whangārei you’ll be a qualified massage therapist. Thus, you’ll be able to get public liability and malpractice insurance.
