Raynor Massage is very different to most other massage therapies available. It has at its heart a holistic understanding of the body, recognizing that both physical and emotional tension will have a negative impact on the physical body. People seek massage treatments for many reasons, because they feel stressed or something hurts or has restricted movement. We do not just treat the part of the body where that pain or restriction is felt or give a light ‘relaxation massage’ designed to give short term relief. Instead we look to find the root of that problem and then to get rid of the tension that is leading to that problem to be felt. We train our practitioners to track bands of tension in the body, releasing them where there are held. This can be a physical release, allowing the body to move freely again, and it can also be emotional when the cause of that treatment has been a trauma or experience that has caused the person to ‘tighten’ in order to continue. By treating the problem at its root you can assist your clients in a deep healing process allowing them to experience true relaxation and release.

Our massage courses in Auckland are designed to allow you to develop both your massage skills and your confidence quickly so that you will be able to provide your clients with an effective treatment to get to the heart of their tension.  You will be massaging on the first day of the course and you will also receive lots of massage on the course, as a student and practitioner you will learn much from receiving treatment yourself. Our focus in your training is to teach you how to feel tension in the body and then teach you how to get rid of that tension. We don’t spend hours learning the Latin names for muscles and there are no written exam, instead you will be encouraged to find the tension with your hands and develop your intuition so that you treat someone safely and effectively. You will be amazed at how much you can learn and how effective your massage can be in such a short period of time

Brandon,
I just wanted to thank you and Rick for the 4 day course I just completed in Sydney. Originally I wanted to start up a massage business just for some cash-in-hand, part-time work. I thought I’d just sit through 4 days of bull*bleep* and get a certificate, however, what you taught us absolutely freaked me out. I don’t ever remember being taught something so powerful in a four day period.

On the first day I was cynical and sceptical, however, I experienced first hand the healing power we hold within us. Thankyou for opening my mind. Who would have thought a four day course could have such an impact on a person’s whole outlook?

I truly believe that what you have done with massage therapy is genius. To me you are to massage therapy, what Bruce Lee was to Martial Arts. He studied many forms of the arts and took what was good and threw out what was bad. He challenged the establishment and developed a style that was always flexible and had no boundaries. I see this as what you have done with massage therapy.
Well done Guru!!!!
